YOUR ROLE
Manage programs assigned to assure timing, CAPEX, product cost and quality targets are achieved in the plant to satisfy both the customer and Aptiv. The Program Manager has the authority to take the appropriate action to ensure these targets are achieved. The Program Manager also provides leadership to the Core Teams nominated to the associated programs. To manage other local Programs / Projects/ tasks as assigned. The Program Manager is involved in Business review meetings and supports the long-term planning with reports and information within his/her competence.

As a Program Manager on our team, you'll:
- Occasionally a New Program will require increased focus in the early stage to ensure a successful launch later on particularly for strategically important programs. In such cases the role will include early Flow3 involvement with the following responsibilities:
- Coordination between Account Management and Product Development to define the scope and establish the main objectives of related to timing and financials.
- Validation of the business case Cash Flow (NBR) for associated quotations in conjunction with Cost Calculation and Account Management.
- Guidance to Account Management on quotations to ensure lead-times on new programs are practical and achievable by providing outline timing schedules.
- Coordinate the programs with regard to the customer and Aptiv requirements and to implement a successful production introduction.
- Manage the financial KPIs as defined for the program: CAPEX & Operating Income (OI%) to ensure that as a minimum they are achieved.
- Define the organizational concept for program delivery at the local plants in conjunction with the Head of Programs if different to predefined Program Core Team structure.
- Interface with Functional Heads for allocation of local Program Core Team nominations for program execution.
- Provide leadership to the nominated core teams.
- Establish and manage the overall program planning with the program parameters defined including APQP.
- Utilize all required program management procedures and documentation as necessary including the escalation process (Program Alert/Red Flag) when required.
- To actively participate in Monthly Plant PM reviews and occasionally on Red Program Reviews (EMEA RPR) and provide program status updates.
- To use the predefined tools for program execution and reporting.
- To achieve program closure at SOP + 6 months.
- Provide interface support for Account Management on critical issues.
- Coordinate inter-plant transfers to ensure a smooth ramp-up at receiving locations as required.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
- Engineer or relevant automotive industry experience
- Fluent in English, both verbal and writing skills
- Standard Costing methodology understanding
- To be a leader, diplomatic, motivator and coach as necessary
- Structured and organized
- Excellent internal and external communication
- Successful experience of Management in an automotive environment, preferably a Tier 1 supplier for at least one year.
