YOUR ROLE

The Production Quality Engineer's mission is to ensure customer satisfaction (internal and external), through controlling the production process by monitoring all its stages, quality gates, and implementing quality indicators (FTQ & SCRAP). It is also responsible to collect information grouped into an information systems infrastructure with the aim of providing continuous improvement through 6-sigma and Shainin methodologies or corrective/preventive actions. You will also have the mission of managing corrective actions for internal and external audits and monitoring activities.

As a Production Quality Engineer on our team, you'll:

  • Coordinate all the activity in your section and lead the team of Diagnostic, Rework and Problem Solving technicians;
  • Act as manager, trainer and advisor for Continuous improvement projects at Gemba;
  • Coordination of quality metrics (FTQ, SCRAP; Blockstock);
  • Coordinate the implementation and use of the alarm triggers process;
  • Coordinate the implementation and use of the Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) process;
  • Coordinate and implement problem solving methods through RPS, DRIVE, Shainin, DMAIC, 3legged 5Why's, I&CIM methodologies;
  • Responsible for the corrective action process (internal and from audits);
  • Monitor the process of corrective actions and changes relating to problems detected in the process;
  • Monitor and update the control plan per productive family.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electronic, Polymers, Industrial or similar);
  • Experience in Problem Resolution Tools (Basic Quality Tools);
  • Experience in Problem Structuring Tools (8D's; Rapid Problem Solving, DMAIC's);
  • Experience in Data Analysis Tools (Excel (mandatory); Power BI, Minitab, among others (good to have));
  • Process oriented thinking;
  • Analytical and factual thinking;
  • Focus on the Customer (Internal and External);
  • Fluency in English.
