Product Cybersecurity Program Manager

Troy, MI

This job is a vital part of enabling the engineering community at Aptiv to develop products with the highest level of cyber security by providing the key function of program management for product cybersecurity team.

Your Role:

  • Create project plans inclusive of budget, schedule, deliverables, and resources
  • Manage and execute a variety of projects from kickoff to closeout, including projects executed through functionally integrated teams with focus on cost, quality, time, delivery and methodology
  • Manage the project quality to meet internal standards and reporting requirements
  • Ensure schedule and financial budget for each project are maintained and follow proper approval processes
  • Manage customer and supplier relationships including customer management and communication alignment between different stakeholders
  • Closely cooperate with the relevant technical experts to drive expected progress of the projects
  • Ensure compliance with Aptiv Program Development Plan (PDP) requirements, maintain required documentation and reporting, and participate in audits as needed
  • Manage a substantial number of small but well-structured fast and efficient projects executed by third party vendors with close attention to timing, quality, and vendor performance
  • Run weekly project meetings with internal team and external vendors
  • Conduct weekly project reviews with internal executive management
  • Create new processes as needed including templates for the product cybersecurity teams to continue improving excellence and efficiency

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Engineering
  • 2 + years current experience as a project manager in a related cybersecurity team
  • 2 + years in automotive industry / automotive embedded systems
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite

Additional Background Preferences:

  • Certification from any project management programs
  • Strict adherence to company values including integrity and urgency
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Able to run multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Familiarity with product cybersecurity subject matter is desirable but not required
  • Experience using software project management tools such as Github, Plan view, Jira
