General Functions
Position Summary
As Operations Manager, you are responsible for leading production at the IAS site in Saltillo, ensuring efficient operations, team development, and adherence to safety and quality standards. You coordinate personnel and resources, drive continuous improvement, and support strategic initiatives aligned with company objectives. You also have a good command of new product and process industrialization, including ramp-up phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and develop production teams by fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Oversee compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, ensuring that legal requirements and company policies are always met
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective production processes while meeting quality, quantity, and timeline requirements for internal and external customers
- Monitor and manage production KPIs, resource planning, and departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with overall operational goals
- Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, CIP (Continuous Improvement Process), and PDCA methodologies to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Detailed planning and execution of new launch activities within Operations, including training personnel on new processes and overseeing process ramp-up phases.
- Actively contributes to the site's leadership team by collaborating across functions (e.g. Quality, Engineering, HR, Supply Chain) to shape and implement strategies that drive operational performance, innovation, and site growth.
- Make and approve operational decisions (e.g., vacation planning, overtime, temporary support) in coordination with HR and in line with internal policies.
- Safeguard sensitive data and ensure responsible handling of company assets, facilities, and equipment, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment
