Your role

As a Functional Safety Technical Lead you will be part of Aptiv Global Products team playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of vehicle safety and user experience systems. We are currently seeking a highly motivated to lead the development of standardized and reusable Core Functional Safety Technical Solutions for our Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) platform for our prestigious client. In this role you will :

• Collaborate with domain experts to acquire knowledge of plans and designs for Aptiv's next-generation systems.
• Lead the development of SDV Functional Safety, including item definition, hazard analysis, functional safety concept, technical safety concept, and more.
• Collaborate with advanced engineering teams to incorporate the latest Aptiv technology into our customer's vehicle features.
• Provide technical guidance and assist in handing over SDV Platform FS Technical Solution information to customer projects.
• Take ownership of key safety architecture work products at the vehicle level.
• Support peer reviews for FS work products according to ISO26262 requirements.
• Support advanced safety methods and techniques such as SOTIF, STPA, and Safe AI/ML.
• Support design and gate reviews by providing accurate and timely status updates of Vehicle FS work products.
• Support the development of FS-related templates, design guides, and training materials.
• Support FS technology awareness at APTIV through technical conferences and seminars.

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering with 8+ years of experience in Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
• Hands-on experience with FS work products such as item definition, HARA, FSC, TSC, FTA/FMEA.
• Working experience in OEM is Highly Preferred.
• 3 years of experience in SOTIF (ISO21448) - Preferred.
• 3 years of experience in System Engineering & System Design and development - Preferred.
• Knowledgeable in automotive system development life cycle
• Proactive mindset with the ability to lead group projects and management reviews.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and influence change.
• Exceptional analytical skills, strong logical thinking, organizational and collaboration abilities, and meticulous attention to detail are essential qualities for this role.
• Skilled user of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
• Ability to travel (Frequency of 30% annually)
