Application Engineer - Product Engineering

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Conduct value analysis and value engineering activities to optimize product design, improve functionality, and reduce costs.
• Lead and contribute to the design and development of wiring harness systems for automotive applications.
• Utilize CAD tools such as CATIA, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks to create detailed wiring harness designs.
• Manage design changes throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to change control processes and procedures.
• Generate and release engineering drawings, schematics, and charts in accordance with internal standards and industry regulations.
• Participate in all phases of product development, including concept design, prototyping, testing, and validation.
• Utilize PLM software to manage product data, documentation, and revisions throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering specifications.
• Coordinate changes to the BOM and communicate updates to relevant teams and suppliers.
• Customer specific requirement especially for validation (DVP)
• Pursue new business by working with CG group and PM for EO/ECN change implementation

Education and Qualification :

• B.E./B.Tech
• 5 - 8 years minimum experience post qualification
• Teamwork and Time management
• any 3D and 2D software like Catia, AutoCAD, NX etc.
• Should know to communicate in English/Tamil/Hindi
