Your Role
As a Design Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving product excellence by embedding quality into every phase of the design and product development process. You will lead DFMEA activities, ensure engineering standards are aligned with field insights, and support cross functional teams in designing and building robust, risk mitigated product designs.

This role is highly collaborative, requiring close interaction with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. You'll also help modernize quality audit processes, lead improvements in risk management practices as well as contributing to enhancements of engineering rules and best practices. You will play vital role in in building a strong culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- DFMEA and Engineering Quality:
Maintain and enhance DFMEA documentation to identify and mitigate design risks proactively.
Use insights from product audits and field data to improve engineering standards for wiring harness design and manufacturing.
Promote and actively share preventive failure methods within the organization by conducting DFMEA training sessions and reinforcing DFMEA knowledge across the organization
- Product Audit Excellence
Follow and occasionally participate in on-site Product Audits at Aptiv manufacturing plants.
Analyze audit findings to recommend quality improvements.
Champion modernization efforts, including digitization and automation of audit procedures and reporting methods, transitioning from analog to realtime digital systems.
- Quantitative Risk Analysis
Conduct detailed risk analyses for engineering and product development projects.
Promote the use of advanced risk management techniques across the organization.
- Quality Culture and Continuous Improvement
Foster a culture focused on product and process quality.
Assess and improve the effectiveness of quality initiatives to ensure alignment with company goals.
Your Background:
- You are a detail oriented engineer with a strong quality mindset and a drive for continuous improvement.
- You thrive in cross functional environments and are passionate about delivering reliable, high quality products.
- Your ability to assess risk, improve processes, and lead change makes you a trusted partner across engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Degree: Diploma Engineer, Bachelor, or Master of Science
- Interpersonal Skills: Self-confidence, Strong communication abilities, Team collaboration and cooperation
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Industry Experience Background in the automotive industry
- Quality Tools Proficiency: FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control) 8D (Eight Disciplines Problem Solving)
