ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Data Engineering and Analytics Leader who will provide oversight into our data platform architecture that supports business analytics and dashboard development. Wind River has a modern data platform that provides data and metrics for the entire organization. In this role, you will be the architect for the overall product and guide the team to model data to generate business-driven metrics, illustrated through robust dashboards and visualizations. Must have fluency in Wind River data stack: Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Tableau. Must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams, including executives. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

YOUR ROLE

The successful candidate will work with key executive stakeholders to collect requirements, then architect the data path from ingestion to visualization. The candidate should evangelize best practices for data engineering and analytics - leading by example and mentoring for the junior engineers.

In your daily job you will:

  • Architect data structure from ingestion to visualization using Snowflake, dbt, and Tableau
  • Implement best practices for the data stack that provides maintainability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Provide expertise in data warehouse modeling and development for Snowflake
  • Exercise best practices in optimal Data modeling for nonuniform sets of data
  • Provide best practices for source code control with Github
  • Design and Maintain data security access controls
  • Develop SQL, HTML, and/or Javascript code to optimize the stack or to generate views for visualization.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver to respective stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data developers

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • BS in Computer Science. The emphasis in Data Engineering is a plus
  • 10-12 years Data Engineering Development and visualization experience
  • 6-8 years of Data Warehouse experience is required. Snowflake DWH is preferred
  • 6-8 years of SQL experience, Snowflake SQL is preferred
  • 2-4 years of dbt experiences, semantic layer experience is a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience with Github.
  • 2-3 years of experience with CI/CD tools for the modern data stack
  • 3-5 years of Tableau Cloud or a modern data stack
  • 2+ years of Python development
  • HTML and Javascript experiences as it relate to Tableau are preferred
  • Experience with the following Enterprise systems: Salesforce, Workday, Oracle, Oracle BI, Jira, Financial planning applications (Anaplan, Adaptive)
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills

CCI authorization is required. U.S person, residing in the U.S.

Compensation

This role is compensation range is between 176,000 to 210,000 plus annual incentive plan bonus. Compensation is determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays.
