At our R&D technology center in Alzenau near Frankfurt am Main, we develop vacuum coating equipment and diverse processes for a wide range of applications.
Your key responsibilities as a Software Engineer:
- Drive software development projects for control applications which will be included in OLED vacuum systems.
- Development and enhancement of software components, features and test processes following internal design standards.
- Optimization of existing production tools in cooperation with engineering teams from electrical and mechanical design.
- Development of simulation and testing methods for system control and test protocols.
- Troubleshooting in software on alpha and beta systems.
- Creating and check of system specifications and test protocols.
- Technical contact for software related questionnaires in house as well as at customer side.
- Support in product marketing and service areas through publications, presentations, customer demonstrations.
- Collaborate and support product safety related technical risk assessments.

Your education and experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in relevant field of study (computer science, el. engineering) or similar education.
- Work experience of 5 years and knowledge of vacuum deposition technology would be a distinct advantage.
- Expertise in software design within Visual Studio and C++ programming.
- Experience in source code management with JIRA and GIT / BITBUCKED.
- Knowledge about industrial communication with EtherCAT, Ethernet, Profibus and CAN is a plus.
- Ability to solve complex problems and to take a new perspective using existing solutions.
- Independent working style and willingness to take initiatives.
- Good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
- High social competence and good team and communication skills.
- Willingness for occasional international business trips to customer sites mainly in Asia.
