Product Line Manager - MDP/ALD SBU (FSO Focal)

Job Summary: The Product Line Manager (PLM) for the Metal Deposition Products & Atomic Layer Deposition (MDP/ALD) Service Business Unit (SBU) serves as the primary Field Service Operations (FSO) focal for the U.S. and Europe. This role ensures alignment between product line strategy and field execution, integrating service operations, customer support, and product lifecycle management to drive aftermarket performance and operational excellence for Applied Materials MDP and ALD equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Service & Operations Alignment

  • Act as the primary liaison between the MDP/ALD SBU and FSO teams.
  • Address complex and chronic field issues as the key escalation point.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs including cost, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.

Service Product & Contract Management

  • Lead service agreement field support and manage contract execution.
  • Collaborate with FSO to identify KPI gaps and downtime events to inform service product and cost-down roadmaps.
  • Ensure execution and compliance of Service Agreement & Ramp Readiness (SARR).

Operational Performance & Strategy

  • Oversee supply, logistics, quality, and cost metrics to meet operational goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across service and operations.
  • Support S&OP planning and ensure supply chain readiness for service parts and upgrades.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with product management, engineering, supply chain, and other functions to develop and execute operational strategies.
  • Build strong cross-functional teams across geographies and external partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, and/or Engineering Discipline.
  • Must have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment industry.
  • Preferred field service leadership and contract execution experience.
  • Strong understanding of service operations, supply chain, and customer support.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.

U.S. Salary Range:
$148,000.00 - $203,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
