Process Engineer
What You'll Do
As a Process Engineer, you'll play a critical role in solving our customers' biggest challenges by designing and optimizing display and semiconductor manufacturing processes. You will work on some of the most advanced and challenging technologies in the world, shaping the way process engineering evolves for our business and the semiconductor industry. Process Engineers at Applied enjoy a diverse and exciting work experience-no two days are the same and the challenges are complex and interesting. You will experiment, learn, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the semiconductor and display industries, partnering with our globally recognized R&D teams on state-of-the-art research and development projects.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work closely with partners and customers to implement new device structures and optimize process integration for device performance.
- Requires deep knowledge of and experience with etch and deposition process integration.
- Understand the big picture and the higher level objectives of each project and manages project to support the high-level objectives
- Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on a wide range of complex process engineering experiments for multiple products
- Utilize techniques, define methods, and apply new technologies to characterize hardware, and/or perform hardware characterization on a high number of complex systems for multiple products
- Generate internal and external documentation for products, presentations, technical reports and create process engineering specifications
- Develop, plan, and execute process engineering projects, within safety guidelines
- Train engineers in measurement techniques of film properties and guide them in the interpretation of the data, new methodologies, troubleshooting techniques and issue resolution
- Design and implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation
- Identify, select, and partner with vendors and suppliers with limited to no supervision
- Lead functional teams or projects, as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 7-10 years of related experience
- Demonstrate depth of expertise in Etch and deposition process integration
- Flexible to travel for long periods of time to work with partners and customers domestically and internationally
- Works effectively in CMOS Fabs to troubleshoot process integration issues based on device performance
- Solve complex problems; using sophisticated analytical thought and methodology; exercise good judgment and identify innovative solutions.
- Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiates with customers, partners, peers and executives to adopt a different point of view
- Effectively lead even in situations without having explicit authority

U.S. Salary Range:
$147,000.00 - $202,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
