Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field (Master's degree preferred)
- 3D CAD experience - UG NX and Teamcenter, Pro-engineer, SolidWorks, Auto Desk Inventor
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and analysis, semiconductor capital equipment design experience preferred
Key Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment conceptual design and experience with equipment troubleshooting
- Experience with designing and working with 3D models including large assemblies and components preferred
- Proficient in simulation and analysis (FEA, thermal analysis, and tolerance stack-up analysis)
- In-depth knowledge in the following fields: Thermal, Fluid flow, Design & Manufacturing processes
- Experience in Vacuum technologies, 3D CAD modeling (NX in Teamcenter environment strongly preferred), knowledge of thermal and heat transfer systems, Fluid management systems (gas flow and/or liquid flow)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to form effective cross-functional relationships and to communicate product design/mechanical requirements clearly to non-experts
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of hardware solutions on new and existing tool portfolio
- Independently, develops and implements concepts for range of significantly complex product issues and engineering solutions
- Technically lead and/or execute engineering projects and spearhead research and development of new technologies, as appropriate
- Interface with internal and external customers regarding significantly complex engineering issues to address customers High Value Problems (HVP) for a range of products
- Identifying design tradeoffs and risks to choose best path to solution
- Identifying and performing experiments, data analysis and applying scientific methods to reduce design risk early
- Lead multiple projects for design and CIP of semiconductor manufacturing and advanced packaging tools, from concept to implementation in the lab
- Lead system install and startup, as well as further CIP cycles if needed
- Specify or perform significantly complex engineering analysis
- Run analysis (tolerance stack-up, structural, thermal, flow etc.) to prove designs will meet intended objectives
- Interface with simulation experts to specify and understand results of mechanical and thermal FEA modeling
- Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering test reports with limited supervision
- Develop, design, or modify mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications/documentation
- Design and procure complete test set ups to validate proposed concepts prior to final implementation
- Works with electrical, process or software engineers as needed to develop new concepts in the lab
- May be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies

U.S. Salary Range:
$147,000.00 - $202,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
