Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for owning and driving On-the-Job Training adoption throughout Worldwide Manufacturing Operations (WMO). This includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Facilitate Business Unit leadership to implement a standardized method of tracking On-the-Job Training for direct labor employees and contingent workers.
  • Assist in the global adoption of OJT tracking tools, applications, and resources.
  • Assist BU and site leadership in setting & achieving OJT goals and objectives.
  • Drive cultural change among direct labor employees and front-line management in the benefits of OJT methodology.
  • Work on projects and CIP that will further OJT as a means to enhance resource management.
  • Become expert in the OJT tools and applications.
  • Hold certification workshops with workcenters and BU leadership.

As a Project/Program Manager, you will be expected to:

  • Develop and execute account technology engagement plans, and manage engineering schedules and resource allocation and budget.
  • Responsible for managing project schedule and task details by utilizing project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, checklist and project scheduling software
  • Supervises allocated resources from other organizations to achieve on-time and within budget performance objectives for the project
  • Manages cost schedule performance of equipment for internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Provides technical guidance to team members to achieve project goals
  • Interfaces and coordinates with customers to define project objectives, provide status updates and prepare for release and deployment.
  • Provides engineering and business process expertise to project team and other members on various projects / issues
  • Manages employees (direct reports or matrixed reports); contributes to effective performance management, employee development and retention.

Functional Knowledge

  • Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors related to employee training and certifications.
  • Tableau dashboard navigation and development

Business Expertise

  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies. Management reviews work to measure meeting of objectives

Leadership

  • Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance. Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees
  • Must have experience managing individual contributors and direct labor employees.

Problem Solving

  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with the application of 8D problem solving or similar methodology.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Must have the ability to work with, and present to all levels of employees and management, from IC to VP.
  • Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules.

Position requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times. This includes demonstrating the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials' core values.

U.S. Salary Range:
$100,000.00 - $137,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
