Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Engineering Manager to lead and develop a growing team of equipment and maintenance engineers within a cleanroom manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our production equipment, while driving strategic initiatives for sourcing and implementing new equipment to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Disciplinary and functional leadership of a team of 5-6 equipment and maintenance engineers, plus 2-3 cleanroom operators.
  • Actively steer the team, manage talent development, and drive performance management.
  • Support headcount growth from 3 to 6 engineers and integrate additional cleanroom operators effectively.

Equipment Management:

  • Oversee maintenance and lifecycle management of manufacturing-related equipment within a cleanroom environment.
  • Manage equipment assets valued at over €30 million.
  • Drive sourcing, evaluation, and implementation of new equipment to meet ramp-up requirements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive equipment databases and correlated processes.

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure adherence to cleanroom standards and best practices, including 5S and floorstock management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align equipment strategies with production and business objectives.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in equipment engineering and maintenance within a cleanroom or high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing technical teams.
  • Solid understanding of equipment sourcing, installation, and lifecycle management.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to manage complex projects and budgets.
