EHS Engineer
We are looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer, to join our EHS team.
What's in it for you?
You will work at Applied campus at Rehovot, with in production, R&D & facilities groups. Work closely with site management and business partners to drive EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
As an EHS Engineer, you will also participate in international projects within the EMEA EHS team.
You will ensure the development and implementation of EHS programs with the aim of assessing and then minimizing risks to Applied Materials employees, the environment, and the community.

What you'll be doing:
- Ensure compliance with required EHS codes, standards, and regulations, as well as government health and safety regulations. Act as a liaison with local, regional, or national regulatory authorities.
- Ensure proper investigation of safety and environmental incidents conducted for EHS events and guide corrective actions aimed at closure. Experience in root cause analysis methods preferred.
- Review and report on safety progress and performance for the assigned site/function based on EH&S metrics set by Management.
- Ensure that specific assigned projects are completed as planned to meet EH&S goals. Provide management with updates and escalations on projects/programs. Maintain the communication channel with site/location functions.
- Developing and implementing health and safety programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conducting safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
- Creating reports on health and safety incidents and recommending improvements.
- Providing training on health and safety practices.
- Collaborating with global teams to ensure consistent EHS practices across all locations.
What you should have?
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of EHS regulations and standards (Advantage for: Safety officers/ Fire safety).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Hebrew.
- Analytical skills to assess and mitigate risks.
- Project management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience working in a global corporate environment.
