Position Overview:

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director - Strategic Partnerships to lead the development and execution of our ecosystem engagement strategy for both Augmented Reality and Photonic Interconnect products and technologies. This role is pivotal in identifying, cultivating, and managing strategic relationships across the value chain, including N+1 (Direct Customers), N+2 (Customers' Customers), N-1 (Direct Suppliers) and N-2 (Suppliers' Suppliers).

The ideal candidate will act as a strategic advisor to the executive team, bringing a systems-thinking approach to ecosystem orchestration and value creation and will actively engage with senior level executives within Applied and the ecosystem partners to cultivate a vibrant well-functioning set of multi-level relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Ecosystem Development

  • Design and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy that connects all nodes of the value chain (N-2 to N+2).
  • Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities that align with business goals and drive mutual value.
  • Develop frameworks for ecosystem collaboration, co-innovation, and shared growth.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key partners across the supply and demand chain.
  • Create and manage a multi-level engagement effort between multiple levels of Applied and PPB executives and team members with their counterparts at the partner entity.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between internal teams and external partners.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, consortiums, and strategic events.

Consulting & Advisory

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to internal business units on partnership models, co-optimization and ecosystem synergies.
  • Provide insights on market trends, customer needs, and supplier capabilities to inform product and business strategy.
  • Actively identify and help recruit key talent into Applied to strengthen our team
  • Travel frequently to meet with key leaders throughout the ecosystem to discover and cultivate further partnership opportunities.

Operational Excellence

  • Actively identify and help recruit key talent into Applied Materials to strengthen our partnerships.
  • Establish KPIs and governance models to measure the effectiveness of partnerships.
  • Lead negotiations, contract development, and performance management of strategic alliances.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in all partnership activities.

U.S. Salary Range:
$180,000.00 - $247,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
