Applied Materials is the world largest supplier of equipment, services, and software for the manufacturing of Semiconductors chips. Applied is also closely supporting its customers' manufacturing challenges by offering consulting, spare parts and mainly service solutions.
We are seeking an experienced Account Sales professional / Key Account Manager to join our Applied Global Services (AGS) division in Germany. This is a permanent, full-time role focused on managing key customer relationships and driving service solutions. The position will be based in Germany, preferably within commuting distance to our Applied Materials sites in Dresden or Munich.
Main responsibilities:
- Grow the Service revenue and booking in the region and in the allocated major accounts
- Identify customer needs and develop/implement complex sales strategies - generate service solutions that will help our customers cope with their innovative and changing business environments
- Lead independently customer relations and negotiations, from the initial service quotes to the final contract signature
- Communicate and present Applied Materials' product roadmaps and capabilities to the customer
Requirements:
- Strong business acumen and negotiation skills, gained through 2-3 years of sales experience in the semiconductor industry or 5+ years of sales experience outside the industry
- Excellent communication skills to lead working sessions and discussions both internally and with customers
- Creativity in generating solutions while remaining aligned with standard selling concepts (Product Option Architecture) and its requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time, primarily within Germany
- Ability to maintain high motivation and dedication to deliver results and achieve objectives
- Technical background would be a strong plus
