Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it. The People team is looking for a writer/editor to oversee content development and updates for an internal global website. In this role, you will be responsible for a high volume of writing and editing, with an emphasis on improving content to be more concise and readable. You'll have experience with project management and the ability to see initiatives through from scoping to execution to successful launch. You'll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to create amazing content, distilling a lot of information into key concepts.

Description

Maintain website content quality and uphold editorial standards in accordance with style guides, glossaries and local People team contributions. Help define writing and editing standards for People content. Write, edit and load content. Work with subject matter experts to develop and update content, articulating key messages in a way users will understand. Evaluate and prioritize requests with input from leadership as needed. Understand content structure and style for the web. Scope content development work, communicate timelines, and negotiate with partners. Work closely with the localization team for translated content. Work with internal and external partners across the business.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to write clear, direct, and compelling copy in accordance with the Apple style guide and HR glossary
  • Ability to organize content in a simple user-friendly structure for reading online
  • Meticulous, highly organized, and strong task/project management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to build strong relationships with partners in an often ambiguous and fast-changing environment
  • Ability to influence without authority and drive tasks while working with cross-functional team
  • BA/BS degree in English, journalism or communications (or related field)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience with HR and global projects preferred

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,900 and $201,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
