Description

We are seeking a hands-on test automation engineering manager to lead a group of software engineers focused on delivering highly quality test automations that directly impact Apple's Creative applications. You will be leading a team of test automation engineers in the Creativity applications group with the goal of delivering a robust set of test automations, and support the growth of the team and the individuals. Responsibilities include: * Contribute to the overarching leadership team in assisting to identity and achieve key projects and goals. * Partner with cross functional teams to support application development and qualification processes. * Lead efforts to design and deliver test automation solutions that are effective, maintainable, and scalable. * Help identify & continue to refine goals for our team members and provide mentorship.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
  • Experience in leading software applications' test automation projects
  • Proficient in leading cross functional discussions and collaborations
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and schedules
  • Proficient in identifying practical and innovative technological solutions
  • Proficient in software development and testing methodologies
  • Experience in one or more of the following compiled languages: Swift, Java, Objective-C, C, C++
  • Experience in one or more of the following interpreted languages: Python, Ruby, Bash
  • Proficient in SDLC practices (Agile, Waterfall, SCM, Issue Tracking)
  • 5+ years of experience cross functionally designing, developing, and testing software
  • 7+ years of management experience with a track record of successfully leading, supporting, and mentoring a team of software engineers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with DevOps practices (CI, CD, containerization & orchestration, config management, etc.)
  • Familiar with application development frameworks such as AppKit/UIKit
  • Familiar with application test frameworks such as XCTest/XCUI
  • Familiar with IDEs such as Xcode, IntelliJ, Visual Studio
  • Data Science / Machine Learning background a big plus

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
