Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Responsible for new product introduction, including ensuring bring up for precise assembly manufacturing lines in contract manufacturer site for new product introductions. Manage equipment qualification, buy off and equipment troubleshooting, failure analysis and corrective action implementation. Oversee engineering activities including manufacturing process studies, optimizations, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) operations. Responsible for supplier/vendor management. Monitor and communicate manufacturing factory metrics like yield, throughput, efficiency, and cycle times. Collect, analyze, and process manufacturing data. Perform statistical analysis, including six sigma, DOEs, tolerance stack ups. International travel required 10%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,200 - $236,700/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Statistical Process Control, including CPK, PPK, MSA, and GRR analysis.
- Performing DFX, FMEA and PFMEA for manufacturing process data collection and analysis.
- Mechanical Engineering design, stack up analysis, and tolerance analysis (TA).
- Process Engineering for mechanical module assembly, including FOL, EOL and testing.
- Experience in factory production operations and implementing production best practices.
- Automation assembly and machine automation design for the development and optimization of real-time manufacturing execution systems.
- Driving continuously yield improvement over mass production, including efficiently utilization of FA tools.
- Applying OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) analysis techniques to achieve better equipment utilization.
- Manufacturing design knowledge for product design drawings review, and approval.
