The Marcom Production Operations Department (MPO) is a technically oriented production service organization comprised of the following divisions: Technical Device Management, Media Operations, Video Accessibility and Special Operations. Marcom Technical Device Managers work within Marcom Production Operations group and support video production, photography and motion projects. They handle the devices being filmed for marketing and training purposes.

Description
Technical Device Managers support our producers and creatives and provide product expertise before, during and in post for productions. They know anything and everything about our Apple devices and larger ecosystem of services, and work with creatives on content that is used in launch videos, Apple Keynote events, guided tours, digital signage, and advertisements. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Ensure released and unreleased products remain true to function - Act as a liaison between engineering, product marketing, branding, content and production - Work with Creatives to prototype, load, and screen capture content on devices. - Manage Devices in Production Environment (Video and Photo) - Prepare and Test Hardware and Software ahead of a production - Partner with Brand to ensure screens and content remain true - Handle Logistics, Project Planning and meet Security needs - Develop business relationships that benefit the team - Provides direction, oversight and leadership when needed for project teams - Helps determine methods and procedures on projects and occasionally coordinating activities of team members - Provides onset support for production which will require significant travel both domestic and international
Minimum Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience working in a technical or production role with full technical understanding in one or more of the following areas: Command line/scripting, camera systems, encoding & compression, software development, live broadcast systems or editing & VFX
- Video and Photo onset production experience
- Networking and/or technical troubleshooting experience
- Experience with one of the following: Photoshop, Aftereffects and/or Final Cut
Preferred Qualifications
- A sense or curiosity with a view to constant learning and development and a passion for growing and trying new things
- Managing ambiguity and continuing to push forward even when the way forward isn't clear
- Clear communicator with ability to create strong and productive peer relationships
- Strong customer focus helping grow good customer relationships with a view to better understanding customer needs
- Strong problem solving skills, with an ability to navigate through outstanding technical challenges
- Expert knowledge in Apple hardware and software products
- Experience using Terminal and Command Line
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Technical Project Management experience
- Apple Lead Genius experience
- Ability to network outside of own area of expertise and bring knowledge in house
- Ability to implement highly complex initiatives and require analysis and review in order to figure out the best course of action
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $117,400 and $221,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
