The work demands creative problem-solving at the intersection of robotics and consumer electronics testing. We're seeking a motivated engineer with strong mechatronics/robotics, programming, and problem-solving skills. Description

As part of a diverse team, you will design, build, and scale robotic automation solutions to test Apple products, ensuring their outstanding quality before they reach customers!

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and run robotic system testing solutions as the owner of one or more technology areas
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the most effective and impactful ways to test and solve short and long-term problems
  • Analyze data and results, and report the impact of all system issues found, advocating for the customer and contributing to the highest quality at all levels of the product

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and using robotics and/or mechatronic systems (e.g. microcontrollers, sensors, actuators) to build automated solutions
  • Proven ability in applying CAD/mechanical design/design for manufacture in a practical setting
  • Proficient in Python
  • Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex mechatronic and software systems
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience designing and working with electronic circuits, and troubleshooting electronic signals for mechatronic solutions
  • Experience with advanced automation technologies such as computer vision (OpenCV), AI/ML applications, and/or applied mathematics for robotics (e.g. linear algebra, transformation matrices, kinematics)
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies and practices
  • Meticulous attention to detail and skilled at balancing multiple projects in parallel without impacting the quality of deliverables
