Come join Apple's dedicated team of Engineering Project Specialists (EPS)! Apple's Hardware Engineering Program Management Team is looking for a resourceful, energetic teammate who will help us lead key areas of Hardware Engineering projects, while gaining exposure to multiple teams and global vendors. In this role, you will work with Engineering Project Managers, other Engineering Project Specialists, Electrical Engineering, Product Design, Worldwide Product Configuration Management, Finance, Operations, Product Marketing, Contract Manufacturers, New Product Security, as well as numerous other teams to manage the risks associated with early manufacturing builds. You will also lead project-related communications by raising key issues and presenting options for resolution to cross-functional partners, coordinate logistics of parts for builds and prototypes, and work on multiple projects simultaneously. You will also control the budget and purchase order process for each system build.

Description
As a System EPS, you will be responsible for development builds, both locally and globally, which includes planning, procuring, organizing, and overseeing the distribution of material and prototypes, in partnership with numerous teams. You will maintain system delivery schedules and ensure teams receive materials and prototypes on time. You will also communicate material demand and delivery schedules to module teams to help them plan accordingly. You and your team will handle hardware prototype allocation planning and management, track prototype units with vendors, secure shipping partners, and internal product security teams, and partner with teams to ensure the secure destruction of excess materials and prototypes. You will also track expenses for each prototype build and create and maintain a project budget, submit purchase requisitions, maintain invoice tracking, and provide payment authorization.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or 3+ years of relevant experience
- Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication
- Unparalleled multi tasking abilities
- Top notch critical thinking skillset
- Ability to react to resets and changes in a fast-paced environment
- Able to learn and work with a variety of different tools and applications required for the role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with global vendors
- Experience managing, organizing, and maintaining large quantities of data
- Experience working with multiple different teams in a R&D environment
