Strategic Planning Lead, Sports & Entertainment

The Services External Marketing team at Apple is responsible for cultivating awareness and education of Apple's full suite of services and driving new customer acquisition through various marketing channels. Our rapidly growing team is looking for a Strategic Planning Lead across Apple's Sports and Entertainment products to join the Strategic Planning team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with marketing leads, media teams, creative strategists, analytics, and data personnel to build data-informed recommendations and campaigns. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritize, adapt to change and multi-task within a dynamic environment.

Description

You will be responsible for developing integrated media strategies within Apple Services. Additionally, you will manage workflow between external and internal media teams and the implementation of each strategy. You will analyze the performance of media channels and provide insights to ensure key partners understand plans, optimizations and results. In addition to developing sophisticated external marketing strategies, you will position yourself as the strategic thought leader for your business stakeholders and provide direction on how they allocate budgets, effectively leverage media for their needs while providing insight on branding and messaging within creative. Your ability to clearly communicate challenges, solutions, recommendations, and perspectives will be integral to the team's success in a constantly evolving environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years media planning and strategy experience
  • Expertise in cross channel tactical planning for full funnel media campaigns
  • Familiarity with traditional media channels (OOH, TV), digital advertising and social media platforms and their relationship with each other in multifaceted, integrated campaigns
  • Experience collaborating with internal channel buying teams to execute successful campaigns while managing the expectations and needs of key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and insights to build audience profiles, create clear communication plans, and develop channel level marketing strategies that tie back to business objectives
  • Track record of measuring impact through different testing and measurement solutions with the ability to also share results and future recommendations in a digestible way
  • Knowledge of sports marketing, and/ or streaming entertainment is a must
  • BS/BA degree required

Preferred Qualifications

  • A self-starter who can work autonomously with agility, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships effectively
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills to all levels of an organization
  • Proficiency working within syndicated research sources (MRI/ Simmons, comScore, etc.) and social listening tools a plus
  • Previous media agency experience a plus

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $110,400 and $168,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
