Key Qualifications

  • Experience leading and growing a software engineering team
  • Proficiency in Apple systems programming languages, such as Objective-C or Swift
  • Experience using Apple-native frameworks, such as UIKit, AppKit and CloudKit
  • Experience with Unix development, daemons, cross-process communication
  • Track record of running engineering processes and leading successful completion of large projects
  • Strong communication across a wide range of audiences, from engineers to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in software development for Apple devices, and a strong grasp of computer science fundamentals
  • Experience building productive relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Desire and ability to learn independently and comfortable with being in the details

Description

We build frameworks, systems and experiences to enable Apple ID authentication and personalization across all Apple native platforms. As the manager of the team, you'll have the opportunity to lead & support the growth of skilled engineers, and drive a wide variety of critical-path efforts with significant impact on the ecosystem, reaching more than 1 billion users. This role requires a self-motivated individual with strong engineering, communication, and project management skills to handle responsibilities, which include: - Identifying customer-focused strategic opportunities within the team's product area - Defining product features, functional specs, resource planning, and development schedules - Serving as a leader on projects of significant size and complexity - Scoping and prioritizing features and bug fixes - Representing the team and its technology in technical and project meetings, internally and with many cross-functional partners - Advising and encouraging engineering best practices to deliver software of the highest quality - Building a world-class engineering team and supporting the career growth of its engineers Does this appeal to your passion for leading engineering teams and building world class products? Education & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,400.00 and $316,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
