The Siri Speech team is looking for an exceptional software architect to take a lead role in creating the next cutting edge features powered by Siri Speech Recognition.
Description
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who is excited by the prospect of working on speech powered products used by millions of users. Our Engineers are creative, inspired, innovative, energetic, self motivated people who love making and shipping products. Are you one of us? You will be responsible for architecting and implementing Speech Recognition software solutions for impactful new customer-facing features on all of Apple's platforms; iOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS. To succeed in this role, you must be a strong collaborator, and a creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, working across teams and organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years C++, Swift, or Objective-C programming experience
- Strong Software Architecture skills
- Proven track record of leading software development projects
- Outstanding communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other equivalent technical field
- Background in building applications on constrained hardware systems (limited memory, processing, and power)
- Experience building well-documented, easy-to-use public APIs
- Experience integrating speech recognition or other machine learning technologies
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
