We're looking for a North American Regulatory Compliance expert for SAR/RF exposure to lead and drive various wireless project certification end-to-end, from development to launch, worldwide with a focus on the US and Canada. You will work with Apple's international teams and regional organizations to ensure that our product meets worldwide wireless compliance standards and the critical deployment of new products and technologies. Apple's Regulatory Compliance Engineering offers this position, which focuses on SAR/RF exposure emanating from all wireless technologies in current and future Apple products. Managing RF exposure worldwide regulatory requirements. Coordinating cross-functionally to translate regulatory requirements into applicable test conditions. Managing worldwide regulatory approvals for RF exposure-related proprietary features. Driving these approvals for the United States and Canada. Coordinating cross-functionally to communicate regulatory requirements during feature development. Managing the enablement of proprietary RF exposure features per region worldwide. Coordinating cross-functionally to ensure proper power table implementation and design across areas. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Engineering with 5 years of equivalent experience
- 5 years working on RF-exposure/SAR compliance and standards
- Strong experience with Regulatory Compliance Engineering
- Solid understanding of wireless technologies related to SAR/RF exposure for FCC/ISED/worldwide, focusing on US and Canadian markets.
- Hands-on testing experience for the above with standard professional test lab equipment and processes for certification knowledge of wireless architectures, communications protocols, regulatory requirements, and approval processes.
- Working knowledge of WLAN, BT, NFC, WPT, Cellular, LTE, 5G, FR2, Satellite operational bands, and emerging technologies like 6G.
- Knowledge of the US and international telecommunications regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal with diverse audiences, from engineers to executives. Adaptable to both collaborative and independent work settings.
- Thrives in fast-paced environments where attention to detail and quality are required.
- Strong technical background in the required field.
- Experience managing, organizing, and driving deliverables of complex projects with tight timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters or PhD in Engineering with 5 years of equivalent experience
- More than 5+ years of working experience, especially with the FCC/ISED regulatory process and certification.
- The candidate is highly preferred to be an active member of a standards development group like TC106/ICNRP, which is related to the regulatory perspective.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $207,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
