Your mission is to define and drive processes, awareness, and reliability for critical customer workflows across all of Apple's enterprise ecosystem. Description

You are a trustworthy and capable manager that can recruit great software and automation engineers to join your team, develop them appropriately, and guide them to work together and drive the broader organization to deliver a comprehensive and robust enterprise experience for administrators, employees, and third-party developers. You are dedicated to our shared goal of building a culturally diverse and pluralistic team that reflects the multicultural variety of our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and establish a high-caliber, multi-functional team with an exceptional ability to innovate and influence engineering teams across all of Apple. You will instill an inclusive team culture and empower, challenge, and coach team members to help grow their impact.
  • Define, prioritize, and execute product development discussions and map functional requirements to technical designs and a project schedule.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and processes across the full Apple stack.
  • Review designs and implementations produced by software and automation engineers; be a trusted and constructive partner in technical discussions.
  • Communicate and drive decisions (written and oral) on various aspects such as user experience, technical design, privacy, and security.
  • As part of our leadership team, you will use your management and technical acumen to seek opportunity and drive broad improvements across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Deep familiarity with Apple enterprise technologies (e.g., Apple Business Manager, MDM, Configurator, DEP, etc).
  • Strong command of the broader enterprise landscape and technologies (e.g. Networking, Security, Identity Provider Systems, etc)
  • Comprehensive understanding of the software development and quality assurance lifecycles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills - both internal and external facing engagements.
  • Demonstrable commitment to continuous self-improvement - a leader by example.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience deploying and managing Apple products at scale in an enterprise or educational setting.
  • Proven experience in delivering internal tooling to enhance engineering efficiency and automated test development

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $188,200 and $325,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
