Description

As a Release Project Manager, you will be the key stakeholder at the core of all manage various types of software release activities across Retail Engineering with primary focus on software release planning and execution Key responsibilities include (but limited to): Own release calendar/schedule Manage software deployments and infrastructural updates in all lower to higher environments following D2P model Orchestrate releases across multiple Retail platforms and components, to facilitate integration testing and deliver a seamless customer experience Initiate, track and maintain high level and detailed release cutover plan Collaborate with various teams for release planning and execution, to ensure smooth, efficient and successful releases of software, product launches and promotional campaigns Interface with a wide group of technical and business stakeholders and across multiple disciplines with Product, Engineering, Testing, Support, Operations Identify areas of improvement, gather stakeholders required for triage and drive initiatives to optimize release processes and reduce overall cycle times Communication and status reporting Manage War Room and focused, time-boxed, and cross functional collaboration session to rapidly resolve high-impact issues or unblock critical releases Support post release activities including patch fixes

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Release Project Manager
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in engineering project or program management
  • Strong understanding of Software version control, Environment Management, Change Management, Software Development life cycle, Continuous Integration and Delivery concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or a minimum years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aptitude for gathering insightful release metrics and reporting
  • Experience with preparing clear and structured documentation and effective presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tracks and priorities with ease and efficiency
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence, resolve conflicts and gain alignment across teams
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
  • Expertise in identifying risks and devising mitigation plans
  • Experience with managing transparent, comprehensive communication to all stakeholders and management

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
