Description

As a Software Quality Engineer, you will ensure the highest quality for our groundbreaking computer vision products, execute comprehensive functional, performance, and regression tests, identify and debug defects, contribute to test automation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality releases and report on key metrics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), various testing methodologies, QA metrics, and operations.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and automating a wide range of software tests, including unit, integration, functional, regression, and performance tests.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive test plans, assess product risks, accurately report defects, and provide insightful data for quality reporting.
  • Experience driving the development and deployment of robust testing tools and infrastructure.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science OR equivalent degree OR minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Swift/Objective-C or scripting languages (e.g., Python).
  • Familiarity with Apple platforms (iOS, macOS) and development tools (Xcode).
  • Understanding of Computer Vision and Machine Learning concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively triage, prioritize, and drive resolution of complex issues.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Extensive experience delivering high-quality software to end-users in a fast-paced environment.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
