Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Lead a team of engineers responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the platform and managing demonstration devices in stores worldwide. Manage the team: allocate tasks, handle performance, provide development opportunities, and oversee staff compensation. Deliver formal and informal documentation to train the team members. Design new features in collaboration with other cross-functional teams. Develop new features on the platform. Support production and test activities during American time zones. Support new product introductions and worldwide marketing events. Act as software engineering's first point of contact for business, PMO, and software engineering teams. Oversee team budget and manage deliverables from vendors and independent contractors. International & Domestic Travel Required 5%. 40 hours/week.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 2 years of experience with the following skills:
  • Analyzing, designing, developing, and deploying features for products using Java, SpringBoot, and Webflux.
  • Experience in AmazonWebServices (AWS), including experience designing, implementing and maintaining servers hosted on AWS, and experience using various AWS services (S3, Dynamo, Cloudwatch, AppConfig, and Lambda).
  • Experience managing software non-functional requirements in areas including performance, security, and cloud costs.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle), including maintenance, tuning, and optimization.
  • Experience in software testing (testing strategy and execution).
  • Experience managing full software delivery from business ask to production deployment and warranty in a cross-functional and multidisciplinary environment.
  • Experience designing, implementing changes, maintaining software, and responding to issues for platform deploying digital content to remote clients using CDN; and experience managing distant devices (MDM or similar technologies), including understanding various security impacts.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and tuning a high volume/high availability Search engine using Elastic Search in a multi-locale environment.
  • Experience designing and implementing software for B2B and B2C customers, with a focus on the Retailing industry.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching technical staff.
