APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Drive design data quality and algorithm performance to develop next-generation Health and Fitness features. Responsible for challenging the design and implementation of software and designing and performing analytics for algorithm verification and validation. Create automated monitoring and quality measurements to track feature performance constantly. Evaluate large structured and unstructured datasets to validate algorithm performance and inform feature design. Participate and present user study/code/data reviews. Drive end-to-end user experience from hardware to software. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• Experience and/or education must include:
• Programming in Python and/or MATLAB for software automation, statistical analysis, data pipelines, and algorithm simulations
• Data visualization for work with large datasets, such as identifying the best methods for generating data type dependent summary statistics or designing debugging tools for failure analysis
• Data analytics to interpret broad types of datasets, such as quantifying precise key performance indicators from structured data
• Databases and query languages (including specific database technologies like SQL) to access large volumes of data
• Quality assurance fundamentals in dissecting complex systems into individual components, designing test plans, and defining key performance indicators
• Software testing for product validation that distinguishes between technical engineering designs and user experience expectations, including identifying edge case conditions in all areas
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams that contribute to various aspects of a project, often spanning hardware and software
• Keynote or PowerPoint presentations to communicate critical project status updates to senior leadership
