Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Design and develop Application Program Interface (API) tests for camera systems. Work in a cross-functional team to develop innovative camera software using Python and Objective-C programming knowledge. Work closely with software engineers, management, and other camera quality teams to create new API tests and run, maintain and triage test suites to validate new hardware modules. Handle a broad span of test areas involving developing test plans for new camera software projects, implementing tests, integrating tests into a Continuous Integration (CI) workflow, and reporting cross-functionally on project progress and risk analysis. Triage and debug continuous integration failures to catch regressions early, develop tests in Objective-C and Swift to validate and qualify new public facing APIs, and communicate project progress to partners. Communicate and drive multiple projects by gathering requirements and engaging in API design reviews and testability reviews with multi-functional team. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering (any) or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Using C and Swift programming to develop API tests and qualify new developed APIs.
- Utilizing Jenkins and Python automation for regressions and Shell scripts to access hardware devices.
- Designing API tests for features needed to ensure the APIs are usable.
- Managing lab Continuous Integration (CI) systems with Jenkins to maintain lab systems for running API tests.
- Utilizing Python programming for CI system development for Python based CI system.
- Using data analysis, technical analysis, and debugging skills to understand the root cause of failures.
- Using version control systems including Git to develop and track changes in test code.
- Manipulating and validating data using common data formats used in APIs, including JSON and XML.
- Interpreting API documentation
- Planning, designing, developing, and testing software systems or applications for software enhancements
