Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop manual test cases, automation evaluation pipelines, and analysis tooling of offline evaluation results for computer vision algorithms. Create and maintain code for algorithm evaluation pipelines on different platforms and devices to help characterize algorithm performance and aggressor. Develop metrics to characterize computer vision algorithms performance. Generate evaluation results on dashboards for algorithm failure analysis. Collaborate with developers to create and maintain latest plans on algorithm features and requirements. Deep-dive failure analysis and provide feedback on algorithm health to developers and program management. Curate dataset to be used for large-scale offline evaluation. Aid manual testing of algorithm performance on device. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $146,307 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Education and/or experience must include:
• Computer vision knowledge, including knowledge of designing evaluation metrics for classic geometry algorithms, and knowledge of machine learning models for Segmentation and Classification.
• Translating mathematical computation for classic computer vision algorithms to Python code.
• Developing robust SQL/non-SQL databases along with REST APIs using Python, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Developing front-end dashboards with Javascript, React Plotly, Dash, and Python.
• Using Python to develop metrics and loss functions for computer vision algorithms and models that accurately capture the end customer goal.
• Using statistical analysis to identify failure patterns in large-scale inference results.
• Performing manual failures analysis on computer vision algorithms and models to triage issues and identify solutions.
