Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Culver City, California. Test and validate audio framework Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) through test applications and audio scenes to test functionality, gather performance metrics, and identify hotspots. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of software and signal processing engineering, component managers and program managers to deliver Core Audio features across several products and platforms. Create and maintain detailed design documentation for audio software, algorithms, and experience behaviors. Utilize new and existing algorithmic feature modules to analyze interactive sound scenes for acoustic properties and descriptors used by Core Audio features. Port, integrate, and adapt Core Audio features through sample code, open-source, or other public developer relations initiatives. Debug, analyze, and resolve defects in shipping software and design unit tests to help prevent future issues throughout the release cycle. Develop code samples to demonstrate the right use of the API for developers. Provide competitive feature analysis for Core Audio with respect to interactive audio and acoustic industry standards and applications. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 - $204,000/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
- Experience and/or education must include:
- Creating and maintaining detailed design documentation for audio software, algorithms, and experience behaviors.
- Utilizing Objective-C, C++, or C# to work on large multi-language codebases.
- Utilizing Perforce or Git for collaborative source code management.
- Designing and tuning audio subsystems for environmental audio analysis and rendering.
- Experience with interactive and 3D audio API development such as Games.
- Developing cross-platform sample applications or middleware tools that demonstrate or expose audio features.
- Writing and maintaining unit testing for developed features
- Writing code validation and unit tests as well as conducting manual testing for audio features.
- Providing analysis and triaging of incoming bug reports, finding solutions for problems, and recommending corrective actions for current and related issues.
