Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Work with interface designers and cross-functional teams to understand the scope of work and the adoption of new features. Estimate timelines and create schedules for product development cycles and sprints. Work with engineers to define system architecture and strategize to achieve a unified and modernized code base that works across all Apple platforms. Work with Quality Engineers to understand meaningful edge cases that need to be accounted for before implementation. Work with interaction designers to understand the nuances and define specifications for the desired system behaviours. Design logical expansion points into the system to facilitate collaboration and parallelization of development. Consult and explain API boundaries adopted by internal and external developers. Prototype sample implementations to capture the intended behavior of the system before building a full implementation. Implement planned features in our release cycles and integrate with adoption teams. Document the final behaviour of the system for maintainability. Communicate technical blockers to cross-functional stakeholders. Communicate risks and scope increases found during development. Triage problem reports related to the new features and to existing features. Write automated unit, integration, regression, and performance tests. Define comprehensive test plans in collaboration with quality engineering. Explore post-release feature enhancements in conjunction with product marketing, interaction design, and quality engineering. Fix problems on the shipped products including products she was not originally involved in implementing. Debug problems reported by partner teams, sometimes by debugging their programs. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Utilizing Swift and Objective-C to work on multi-language codebases.
- Utilizing high-level UI frameworks to implement user interfaces.
- Utilizing debuggers to analyze and repair failures.
- Utilizing large databases to analyze user field telemetry.
- Utilizing UML and flow diagrams to communicate complex system architecture.
- Utilizing networking technologies to build products that communicate between devices.
- Utilizing databases to store user data for building user interfaces.
