Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design software development tools for macOS and iOS. Develop new features, fix interesting bugs, write tests, and review teammates' code. Help grow strong open-source communities for the Clang and Swift compilers. Collaborate with security engineers, programming language designers, and operating systems engineers to improve the quality and security of software in Apple's ecosystem. Build expertise in and responsibility for specific components of Xcode, Clang, and Swift. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,931 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Experience and/or education must include:
- Developing compiler features for C-based languages using C++.
- Using C and C++ to develop low-level operating systems software and runtimes.
- Developing compiler passes or diagnostics with the Clang/Low-Level Virtual Machine (LLVM) compiler framework.
- Debugging low-level operating system or tools code.
- Developing and extending program analysis tools for systems and application software.
- Maintaining and extending codebases written in the C++ language.
- Developing compiler tools in C++ to find and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
