Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Responsible for building and expanding on a suite of web applications for internal stakeholders across the company to solve a range of problems, including but not limited to visualizing business critical metrics and automating internal data processing workflows. Support the delivery and maintenance of web interfaces for web-based data applications. Work with internal stakeholders to convert business needs into engineering requirements. Implement web applications that can perform efficiently despite large volumes of data. Utilize contemporary tooling to visualize data in two and/or three dimensions (D3, Three.js, React, etc). Support the delivery and maintenance of backend APIs for web-based applications. Work with internal stakeholders to convert business needs into engineering requirements. Create and support the creation of APls for new and existing data applications. Build frontend-friendly GraphQL endpoints which empower clients to query data in an optimal manner. Manage the persistence, index, and query large amounts of data through the use of internally available database tooling. Support the delivery and maintenance of infrastructure for web-based data applications. Provision and support provisioning of infrastructure for new and existing data applications. Maintain and support maintenance of infrastructure for new and existing data applications. Provide support to vendors and employees working on data applications. Provide technical support to end users of data applications who are encountering technical issues. Engage with the engineers and data scientists in AMP Data Science & Analytics. Establish relationships with vendors and external teams who support the development of data applications. Establish tools and processes to empower engineers working on data applications. Share knowledge on tools and process with the wider team. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $191,818 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Building user-focused web-based data applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Experience in component-based architectures and frontend JavaScript library React.
  • Fetching, manipulating, and displaying data within web applications; and experience using asynchronous programming techniques (Promises and async/await) and data fetching libraries(Axios and Fetch API).
  • Experience using performance optimization techniques (dataloading, code splitting, lazy loading, and caching strategies).
  • Experience in common web security vulnerabilities (including XSS and CSRF)
  • Using Git for version control, including branching, merging, conflict resolution, and contributing to code repositories
  • Using a testing framework such as Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine and experience with test-driven development (TDD).
  • Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) principles and working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins and CircleCI).
  • Utilizing a build tool (Vite and Next.js) to manage dependencies, including experience bundling code, and optimizing assets for production deployment.
  • Experience in building BFF (Backend For Frontend) services, and experience using industry standard access mechanisms REST and GraphQL
