Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Drive tvOS performance initiatives across the company that produce faster music playback, Siri latency, and System Memory for HomePods and AppleTVs. Ensure hardware and software designs for HomePods and AppleTVs can meet expected KPIs and performance metrics similar to music playback latency, Siri latency, and system memory. Monitor and analyze field performance data like field music latency, siri latency, and system memory. Present to executives on critical issues that the team is driving. Supervises a professional team of 4-8 who will perform the engineering analysis to find solutions for the performance issues described above. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 - $329,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Experience driving large x-functional initiatives, includingworking with multiple teams to accomplish an engineering goal.
  • Full software stack experience in Operating Systems, Frameworks, or Applications, including experience in software analysis (or software implementation) work in multiple software components.
  • Experience in operating Systems software for consumer devices.
  • Evaluating performance tradeoffs using media systems such as Audio or Video in order.
  • Defining and using large scale data analytics to field performance or quality metrics from customer or beta devices.
  • Running performance-oriented analysis, and using software tracing (or profiling) tools, in order to identify performance optimizations.
