Software Development Engineer in Test

The Performance team is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong coding and testing skills. You will develop test strategy and plans for features, automate test cases, and run automation to qualify Apple products. You will be joining a dynamic global team responsible for delivering the best-of-class performance for across Apple platforms!

Description

You'll be running many different tests at a time across many different scenarios and need to keep careful track of the results - as well as the creativity and initiative to help us proactively identify new opportunities to improve our workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Writing and maintaining automated tests of system performance, as well as post-processing and reporting of test results.
  • Running tests, analyzing test results against expectations, and debugging observed performance issues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in CS/CE or equivalent REQUIRED.
  • Excellence in a scripting language (such as Python)
  • Strong coding skills in C/C++, Objective C/Swift or Java
  • Strong QA/testing knowledge & experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid debugging and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • Experience with performance testing is strongly preferred

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $210,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
