Hardware Engineering is on the hunt for a Software Development Engineer in Test who's ready to make an impact on internal web applications. We're looking for someone genuinely enthusiastic and driven-a Software Development Engineer in Test who thrives on solving problems. In this role, you'll partner directly with engineering teams to hunt down and diagnose defects in content and web-based software. You'll create and execute comprehensive test plans while developing innovative solutions to quality challenges. It's a technically demanding position that rewards sharp, methodical testers who can communicate clearly and stay organized under pressure. Description

As an SDET focused on internal web application development, you will be a key player in ensuring the quality of our apps. You will design and execute test strategies, identify and champion solutions for defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee high-quality releases. You will also drive our testing efforts by building and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive test strategies, incorporating risk analysis.
  • Identify, prioritize, and advocate for bug fixes and improvements.
  • Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with development, design, and product to deliver high-quality releases.
  • Continuously learn and explore new technologies to optimize existing processes.
  • Independently manage testing tasks with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance testing, demonstrating expertise in QA fundamentals, innovative test strategy, metrics analysis, and automation framework development.
  • 5+ years of experience with test automation frameworks, including architecture, design, and scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Playwright/Selenium).
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with source control software (e.g., git).
  • Database and SQL knowledge.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of software build tools, CI/CD integrations, deployment processes, and code quality checking tools.
  • Experience with load and performance testing.
  • Experience testing APIs/Web Services.
  • Motivation to learn and explore AI/ML applications to enhance automation, testing efficiency, and/or quality insights; prior experience is a plus.
