Description

APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Specify, design, and implement the RF firmware architecture of a state-of-the-art mobile wireless communications system. Design, develop, and optimize the RF processing algorithms for transceivers, RF front end, antenna tuners, and other RF components in a cellular system. Implement RF device drivers and control software for RF transceivers and front-end components with precise timing requirements. Work with RF silicon design Specify, design, and implement the RF firmware architecture of a state-of-the-art mobile wireless communications system. Work with systems and IC designers to optimize power optimization for all RF circuitry in the cellular system. Work with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies while driving the key Radio features. Perform verification of implemented firmware and investigate critical RF issues in a cross-functional HW/SW working environment. Investigate and debug standalone RF and cross-functional Cellular and RF issues. Investigate, design, and implement FW architecture to be able to meet the timing specifications needed between Cellular and RF. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 - $204,000/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Education and/or experience must include the following skills:
  • Utilizing C or C++ for firmware code reviews, including analyzing various code paths to create granular and extensive test plans.
  • Utilizing Pre-Silicon environments like System-C to do both FW and hardware verification for new features.
  • Understanding HW and SW interaction, including usage of Python, and C/C++.
  • Usage of firmware/software debuggers like GDB.
  • Using scripting languages and tools: Shell, Git, and Object-oriented programming.
  • Utilize Python programming for developing testscripts for firmware quality testing.
  • Utilizing CLANG and Coverity tools to perform Linting analysis in the C/C++ code.
  • Utilize Unit test frameworks in order to verify firmware functionality.
  • Testing software system functionality and build tools using Jenkins and Gerrit.
