Description
APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Develop and support new and existing computer system features to serve new applications and improve work flow. Partner with cross-functional teams to effectively coordinate the complex computer system interdependencies inherent in application development. Use programming languages (Java, Python, Swift, Objective-C, Go, Rust, C/C++) as well as client and server applications development processes to develop web applications that display and manipulate image data. Modernize and maintain the Photos systems and web codebase by extracting old infrastructure and replacing with more performant and reliable code. Contribute system features to Photos that are currently missing or for future tentpoles by applying indepth engineering knowledge to build frontend features in conjunction with server partners. Add telemetry to understand users and protect Apple from introducing regressions by developing systems and alerting to monitor the health of the Photo systems and application. Work on systems and application gain parity with its native counterpart by working on the FaceTime on the web codebase. Develop tests for the web Photos and FaceTime applications to protect against regressions and ensure edge cases are handled properly. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 - $204,000/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience and/or education must include:
- Developing and supporting new and existing computer system features to serve new applications and improve workflow using JavaScript, Typescript, Objective-C, and Swift.
- Using programming languages (Java, Python, Swift, Objective-C, Go, Rust, C/C++, and JavaScript) as well as client and server applications development processes to deliver end to end customer features.
- Utilizing JavaScript and Typescript to work on multi-language codebases.
- Utilizing JavaScript UX frameworks like React, and application infrastructure like WebPack, along with latest browser features around DOM, local storage, security, image handling, networking and identity to build a performant web application that displays media.
- Reviewing designs in Keynote, Sketch, and PDF to build the best possible user experience and align technical solutions with features.
- Defining, building, and monitoring key metrics that ensure highly available features for customers.
- Applying industry best practices for security and privacy to protect users data
