Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and come up with innovative concepts for future devices and experiences. Create physical and digital prototypes of new devices using a combination of software programming and hardware integration utilizing CAD modelling, 3D printing, circuit design, and software simulation. Design and implement robotic systems that can enhance home experiences. Lead and oversee rigorous testing phases for prototypes, ensuring they are robust, user-friendly, and safe. Scan the market and academic research for emerging technologies and trends. Maintain detailed documentation of all prototypes. Review and analyse schematics and debug complex hardware interactions. Guide the team through the creative and engineering process of a prototype or a feature development. Conduct research and analysis to identify the requirements and specifications for new robotic systems. Utilize CAD software to design and create detailed blueprints and schematics of robotic components and assemblies. Develop algorithms and control systems for robot motion, navigation, and task execution. Perform simulations and prototype testing to evaluate and refine robotic designs, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with AI and machine learning specialists to integrate advanced algorithms into robotic systems. Implement machine learning models to enable robots to learn from their environment and improve task execution over time. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,931 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Experience implementing and integrating machine learning models into robotic systems
- Building and testing robotic prototypes, including performing simulations and real-world testing.
- Experience integrating various sensors (e.g., LiDAR, cameras, IMUs) into robotic systems for environment perception and navigation.
- Experience in programming robotic and autonomous systems using languages such as C++, Python or MATLAB.
- Experience implementing and integrating machine learning models into robotic systems.
- Building and testing robotic prototypes, including performing simulations and real-world testing.
- Experience integrating various sensors (e.g. LiDAR, cameras, IMUs) into robotic systems for environment perception and navigation.
- Experience working with ROS or ROS-like systems for developing modular and scalable robotic applications, including writing custom nodes, custom messages, and configuring communication protocols.
- Experience designing and programming systems for real-time control and data processing in robotics application.
