APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Building and delivering innovative software applications to support build, release and quality assurance standards in the field of Applied Machine Learning .Conducting quality assurance on large scale mission critical applications using custom and open source solutions in Java and Python. Designing and implementing test automation frameworks for large scale multi-tier distributed applications to maintain high quality standards of both front and back end. Creating and maintaining software tools and utilities to assist better quality of application development, distribution and deployment. Integrating test coverage, system and unit testing frameworks, deployment, release and monitoring tools to achieve Continuous Integration and Delivery. Implementing and maintaining required code, configuration and infrastructure management services and solutions to ensure stable and predictable code artifacts delivery and deployment pipelines. Working together with development, dev-operations and project management teams to promote clean coding, effective deployment a quality solution for the benefit of end user. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• 3 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
• Implementation of Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines using contemporary coding practices and hands on experience with modern open source technologies.
• Using Object Oriented Programming principles and Java to design and write utilities and applications
• Designing and implementing test automation frameworks for API based testing.
• Testing distributed systems built around such technologies as Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Solr
• Preparing test strategies based on knowledge of Machine Learning development lifecycle, architecture of Big Data pipelines, and design principles of Distributed Computing
• Planning and executing Integration, System, API and Acceptance testing including building comprehensive test automation frameworks.
• Working in Linux environment, CLI tools, Git and Shell-scripting to set up and maintain test environments for distributed and cloud systems .
• Using containerization solutions like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as configuration and deployment management for setting up test environments and defining continuous delivery pipelines
• Analyzing cloud infrastructure components in AWS and/or Google Cloud, configure and deploy EC2 instances and EKS cluster, set up S3 buckets adhering to Infrastructure as a Code principles.
