Description
APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Design and implement algorithms and tools for perceptual image and video quality assessment. Debug and test media frameworks and video pipeline software using skills in object-oriented programming and software engineering to ensure highest visual quality of Apple's core products. Implement tools and libraries to handle color representations and conversions in software by writing software in detect anomalies in our visual experience. Train and develop perceptual models mimicking human vision using fundamentals of machine learning and deep learning techniques. Automate the detection of color accuracy issues in software and hardware. Design and conduct user studies to generate subjective image and video quality datasets using statistics and probability driven approaches through our in house developed automated tools. Build and enable cutting-edge video technologies. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 - $204,000/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience and/or education with each of the following skills is required:
- Utilizing Python to develop analytic tools and evaluate products visual quality.
- Utilize color theory and color science to evaluate the correctness and quality of the visual experience of products.
- Using Computer Vision techniques such as image classification detecting visual artifacts to develop automated visual quality tools.
- Using C++ to understand the underlying Operating Systems and hardware support that drives visual systems in products.
- Perform machine learning techniques such as leveraging neural networks to reduce image noise and develop automated visual quality tools.
- Utilizing operating systems such as Linux, iOS, and macOS to operate business environments.
- Conducting bug reporting on products to assist development teams in triaging and prioritizing key issues.
