Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Create, research, design, develop, maintain and debug media systems software on embedded systems for end customer media support. Analyze source code to enhance security and address. Implement performance analysis to existing and newly developed software for Apple iOS, IpadOS, tvOS, WatchOS and MacOS. Create performance testing methodologies and enhance memory, performance and reliability of embedded systems. Provide reports and analyze failure scenarios and identify causes. Work and interact with Apple's Apple Media Products on mobile and embedded platforms combining cutting-edge software on Xcode instruments and engineering techniques such as thread safety developed concurrent programs, functional programming, UI Kit UI development with next-generation hardware. Develop and engineer multi-device communications software using Objective-C/C and C++ for shipping in Apple's embedded software stack to enhance media use cases. Implement complex device communications mechanisms for mesh networks via communication protocols. Program multi-threaded software, in memory-constrained systems. Debug systems being developed. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $226,158 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. • 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
• Objective - C for system development
• C for the internal systems engineering
• Software Memory Analysis to optimize software to run efficiently and implement new functionality on existing hardware
• Embedded Systems Development to ship large scale embedded systems
• Software Performance Analysis to detect performance bottlenecks and allow customers to use embedded systems
• Multi-Device communication protocols to develop applications that involve multiple devices to communicate within a group.
• Multi-Threaded embedded system development to allow software to run at peak performance level.
