Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Build a data processing pipeline using an on-device knowledge graph that supports most Camera and Photos experiences. Work on Inference Algorithms on a Knowledge Graph, using rule-based reasoning to support photo experiences, identify improvements to the existing inferences, improve the accuracy of the existing inferences using internal or external data signals, and identify new data signals within the Apple ecosystem to improve intelligence. Participate in retrieval operations on Knowledge Graphs and Databases. Create new APIs to retrieve information from graph data structures, improve the performance of these APIs, deepen understanding of graph database operations, and efficiently use them in product use cases. Research new technologies that are applicable to the current system architecture, participate in new technology research and prototyping new ideas that business values, and build new technologies that are highly personalized and work on all Apple's platforms and locales. Participate in and own performance enhancements by using existing tools to measure metrics and/or developing new tools and frameworks to measure metrics needed for the new business. Collaborate with performance quality assurance teams and contribute to new efforts, which requires a good understanding of software performance metrics such as CPU measurement, memory usage, disk usage, network usage, and latency. Maintain existing business by creating documentation for new and old business, developing diagrams and specs for the software architectures, working on fixes, and maintaining shipped products with improved quality and performance. Provide globalization support when needed. Develop unit tests and scripts using Apple's frameworks. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and one year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • One year of experience with each of the following skills required:
  • Object-oriented analysis and design experience to build software.
  • Experience in Knowledge Graph and Database Data Structures to build efficient algorithms for highly complex systems.
  • Utilizing Objective-C and Swift to work on multi-language codebases.
  • Experience in coding to support multiple platforms, including low-performant devices for hardware and version compatibility.
  • Experience in performance assessment and optimization techniques to apply multiple platforms.
  • Experience in Machine Learning Models and Implications of the software that supports devices with memory and privacy limitations.
  • Understanding algorithms and data structures, including experience in optimizing image-processing tasks
