Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Perform requirement gathering, analysis, estimation, design, development and implementation of cloud based distributed software applications. Interface with business users for gathering and analyzing requirements, estimating the effort, identifying the tools and techniques, and writing code for new features, and enhancements to existing features and bug fixes. Create prototypes and Proof of Concepts of features to demonstrate to end users. Design and develop RESTful microservices using JAVA, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, Netty framework and Oracle. Develop front-end user interface for applications using web programming technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AngularJS. Develop applications that consume RESTful Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) exposed from other applications within Apple that provide services like authentication, data storage, and fraud detection. Offer thought leadership for improvements like identifying better human interface (HI) capabilities to improve user efficiency, proposing modern software libraries and tools to improve reliability and velocity of software development. Write effectual, concise, scalable, and maintainable code that will make the user experience as fast, reliable, and error-free as possible. Performance tune applications by identifying bottlenecks in code, platform or architecture. Secure applications by deploying common encryption algorithms as applicable. Review code, test, deployment and post-production support. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
• Designing and developing RESTful microservices using JAVA, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, Netty framework and Oracle.
• Writing effectual, concise, scalable, and maintainable code in Java is required to ensure user experience is fast, reliable, and error-free.
• Reviewing code, testing, deploying and providing post-production support.
• 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
• Developing front-end user interface using web-programming technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AngularJS.
• Identifying bottlenecks in code, platform and architecture to performance tune applications using tools like jprofiler, and reviewing SQL execution plans.
• 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
• Developing applications that consume RESTful Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) Knowledge of JSON, XML, and REST architecture constraints. Experience with mapping tools like Jackson or GSON.
• Deploying common encryption algorithms like SHA, AES, and GPG to secure applications.
