Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Research, design, and develop software architecture to support the delivery of high-quality software across various Apple products, by developing new system software leveraging technologies like Python, C, Objective-C and Swift. Develop algorithms for personalization by leveraging on-device signals and frameworks, with the purpose of enhancing the user experience on multiple Apple platforms by providing user personalized features. Develop new software architectures, particularly on-device architectures which are power and performance effective, architectures will support features like App Suggestions, and other system experiences. Design new APIs to enable internal developers to deliver new experiences that are personalized using on-device data. Work with cross functional teams to gather requirements and collaborate on new initiatives to drive new features for Apple software platforms. Work with different codebases across Apple's platforms to translate high level ideas into working software. Develop machine learning (ML) algorithms that leverages user behavior and predicts future behavior in new experiences. Work through complex codebases to identify and address issues, both functional, performance and power issues, these complex codebases are iOS and macOS operating system software, leveraging tools on debugging and understand complex call stacks across multiple components. Develop data driven solutions to personalization problems, by analyzing anonymized data from production use cases as well as internal data collection, this to enable new features that are personalized and based on previous behavior. Analyze data and make inferences on future improvements, this by leveraging internal data collection platforms and well as techniques to make statistical inferences on data using Python and other tools, to detect anomalies and patterns of data that can drive improved experiences for our customers. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800- $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Experience and/or education must include:
  • Utilizing Data Analytics to analyze external and internal data
  • Utilizing Machine learning and statistical inference to make predictions/classification of data
  • Utilizing Python to do large scale data analytics to analyze the amounts of leveraged data
  • Utilizing Data Mining to understand patterns in data
  • Utilizing Algorithms to drive-on-device development of new features
  • Applying SWE best practices including code review, unit testing, code analyzer, and memory debugging in order to ship high quality software.
  • Using computer fundamentals, memory management, storage, and processing of data in order to build highly efficient systems with high quality.
